| Hi from chilly Connecticut. My name's Jan and I've been lurking for some time and finally decided it was time to contribute something. I'm fortunate enough to live in an 18th century home with my horse and house rabbit. I love the MJ philosophy and was inspired to take up crocheting this winter (made some cotton dishcloths - no more sponges!) When my time is my own I enjoy reading, baking bread and collecting antiques. The posts here are so warm I wanted to be part of this fabulous group of women. jan |

Hi everyone! Thanks for the warm welcome. Herblady- A 9 year old bun! You must take really good care of him...my rabbit just turned 4, he's my 3rd house rabbit and they are wonderful. My horse would be a house horse too if I let him. LOL FarmMilkMama- Both youtube and "instructables" have simple online crochet instructions, it's easy. The bread is whatever inspires me for the week, though the King Arthur oatmeal bread is my recent fav. Glad to be here! |

Welcome Jan! You'll enjoy this forum... Loads of great talented gals here all ready to cheer you on in your " farmgirlness "!It's great! I like how you mentioned how Mary Janes Farm inspired you to take up crocheting! This would be a great thread to continue... MJF inspired me to....I think I'll take it over to Across the Fence if anyone wants to follow it over there...I'll give all the credit to you Jan for starting it!

Hi Jan! Welcome Sister! I used to have a dutch bunny named Buttercup! I miss my bunny days..he was the sweetest :) I feel that my connection to this group has already encouraged me to be more creative and make things I never would have imagined...It really has changed my life! I love the idea of dish towels...i often use dish towels instead of a napkin....kind a like a hanky napkin...maybe i can call it a nanky!! hahhaha! I used to live in a civil war house...it was the miller's house and we had all kind of historic signs around...including one that Washington's troups went by. I love historic houses and would love to hear more about yours :)

Hi Jan. Welcome from cold Northeastern Nevada. :) Aren't the crochet dishcloths wonderful? I love mine. I had a bunny when I was little. My grandma had come home one day find him in her house. How he got in there no one knows. No house bunnies for us, but the jackrabbits around here get huge! We had a cat that managed to catch a baby one once. We didn't see him bring it in, and then next thing we know we're pulling out the washer and dryer to catch the little guy.
