Learned how out of my copy of "Mary Janes Stitching Room" it's addictive & fun! I'm using a template set of circles that I got ages ago & wondered what on earth I'd use em for...... I'll show you ladies what I'm using em for when I complete a couple of projects.

I love making yoyos. We've had a couple of swaps here and maybe its about time for a new one. Maybe a Springtime theme. I think its a good idea but I can't host this one. Anyone else interested? Michele

I have a plastic yo yo "maker" that I found at the craft store. It keeps them uniform and has the slots for passing through the needle so it keeps the tension right. I know there are other shapes out there - hearts, clovers, etc. but I've never found them. I think clover yo yos would be really cute.

I have these Yo Yo makers also. I just picked one up that makes Butterflies. I can't wait to use it. Most quilt shops carry these in my area.I see you are from Puyallup. The quilt Barn should have them and also Pacific Fabrics on South Hill.

On a blog (just can't remember the name of it) I saw a group of four yo-yo's framed in a narrow shadow box that was just adorable.
I'd love to make a quilt top out of them!

I've never made a yo-yo, but have always wanted to. A swap sound fun! Let me know if you get one started. But give me plenty of time. I may be pretty slow at it.

I make them all the time....especially when watching the TV...I have 2 large clear cookie jars...I just toss the yoyos in there & then when I need one or a couple I just go to my handy jars & fish out the colors I need. 1 jar has small yoyos and the other jar has regular sized yoyos. I recently sewed some yoyos on a pair of felt gloves just for kicks-n-giggles.

Sherrie, I love your idea for your violin. Have you thought about putting the same thing on the end of your bow? Or would that get in your way? It reminds me of Charlie Daniels breaking the strings on his bow when playing the "Devil Went Down Georgia". I use to play the violin when I was younger but havent picked it up for a few years now. I miss it and need to get back into it! Thanks for sharing!

I love to make yo-yo's and I made a small Christmas tree with some of them. But, I lost it before Christmas. LOL If we do have a swap, please, add my name.
Hugs,
