                      | Krista - Those potholders are beautiful!!!
And Grace - words fail me at how cute those banners are! Love the details!

I've started up crafting again after a lull - working on some small felt purses and a new "crop" of felt food for a dear friends little girl - will make a bunch and give for both her birthday in Sept and at Christmas I think. Have pieces cut for 3 "donuts" and 3 "apple slices". Finished embroidery on the apple slices last night and started sewing the first one up!

                      | Thanks Grace. I actually haven't tried one of those bun beanies. The craze seemed to have missed my town or maybe it just hasn't picked up since we are in the high 90s. Maybe once fall hits I will see more desire for them. I should try and make one. I have made hats before so it can't be too much different. Love your banners. The colors are very elegant and feminine.
 Thanks Ruthie Ann!

Thanks Jamie! When you started talking about felt food it reminded me of my grandma. When I was younger she made me a book with felt food in it. I would play with it for hours! I bet the little girl will love her food just as much as I did.

                      | I am trying to hammer out my UFO projects,,, before I have to pack up my sewing room for the move. I have 2 cobbler aprons to assemble and the 14+ mini aprons for the swap...
Today I finished up to children sized chef aprons that I cut out of a Pillowcase,,,,
I haven't ironed these yet, and I need to sew on the yoyos...

this is a child's sz. small

this is a child's sz. large.

and then I made a apron from a sweet pillow case CeeJay sent me.

  I luv the crocheted edging.

Tomorrow, I iron and maybe get at least one of the cobblers done...

                      | Grace! Those aprons are darling! Krista - Love the memories of your grandma!

Finished 3 felt apple slices last night and got the sequins, aka "sprinkles" sewn onto one donut "frosting" piece and made a start on another. Also got the fleece washed for a blanket project. Still need to hand wash the wool felt I'll use the applique on it. Hoping to do that tonight so it can air dry and be ready to be ironed and cut this weekend!

                      | Thats coming up quickly, Grace. I have only moved 3 times and they were rough and stressful, so I feel for you. It never gets easier, but it is nice going to new places.
Jamie, I'll have to look through my boxes and see if I can find them so I can share them with you. You are so dang creative!

I have been working on a turtle shell baby photo prop for a friends soon to be here baby. I am a little less then half way done. I started to panic yesterday when I heard she went to the hospital with contractions. Luckily they were false and sent her home. Glad I have some more time to get it finished! No dilly dally going on here!

                      | Thank you very much Judy and Shannon. I used size 3 which is thicker. I do use 10 which is a little thinner when I make bookmakers and such. I tried making edging with 20 once but it is too fine for me and really difficult to pick out a mistake. Not giving up on it yet. May try a thinner thread in the future. I love Tatting, just learned it last December.

                      | I am taking both my Kindle and my mini ipad on my flight back to Spokane,,, at the last minute I decided to make a fabric envelope with a piece of felt in the middle to create a pocket/to separate the to devices... Now I have both devices in one carry case... since it was a quick project,,, (prototype) when I return I plan to make another one,,, but refine the pattern... in the mean time it will work in a pinch.

                      | Thank you everyone. If I sat down straight and worked on one this same size it probably would take an hour or two I think. I am still working so I tatt rather than chat at breaks and lunch. This is mostly when I work on them.
I made a pink one for a coworker that survived breast cancer. When I told her I hadn't seen the Doctor for a check up in a few years she gave me friendly but firm scolding. She insisted I report back to her after I followed through. Went in for everything and got a 100% clear results. I reported back with a pink thank you gift.
