Hello all, I have been receiving Mary Janes Magazine for over a year now. I won't seperate with one. I love the articles and really like the illustrations. So whimisical and wonderful. I have searched for a chapter in my area and supposedly there are a few. I have not received any responses tho. Looking forward to all the sharing. Much better than facebook. Dawn

Thanks for the welcome. I used to live in Vanc, WA. I seriously considered growing ginseng. I am glad I didn't. So much work and so expensive to get a crop in.

Welcome from Georgia, Dawn. I know you will find a lot of things here to keep you busy. Do you live on a farm?

thank you for your warm welcome. I live in a small town near Roanoke VA. The house I live in was built in 1830's. It was the second house built in town. We still have the original kitchen; it is now our garden shed. We have 1.3 acres. Alas, it is not a farm. I am expanding my veg & herb gardens each year. We have raspberries, currants, and a fig tree, as well. I love heirloom tomatoes. I am connected to a nice network of young independent farmers. I get wonderful meat, eggs and fresh milk. I know the name of the cow. A funny anecdote. I was visiting my friend. We were sitting in her dining room. I looked out of the window and CoCo the cow was looking back at me.

Welcome Dawn from Ohio Your home sounds wonderful! I planted figs last year and got a harvest of 1 my first year. Hoping for more this year. I also love the MJF magazine. I'm thinking of picking up some extra copies for gifts throughout the year. I second your sig. line, Small farm farmers rock!
Welcome, Lisa
