Hi everyone! I'm Megan from Wisconsin. I'm 14 years old, and though I live city-like, I love all of the ideals of the farmgirl movement. Can't wait to start posting!

At heart, I am both a sassy city girl and a down-home country gal.

Channah, I found MaryJane while browsing Planet Green's website. They did an article about her and how she's trying to bring back all the "green" ideals about organic farming.

At heart, I am both a sassy city girl and a down-home country gal.

Hi Megan:

I am a "newbie" too, having just joined last week, too. I have already "met" so many wonderful ladies here. I wish there had been something like this when I was your age, too. Have fun! Noticed you are a knitter, what do you like to knit?

Oh, and Channah, I "see" you all over the place, you are so sweet! I was shocked to find out you are only 15. Your parents must be soooo proud of you.

Welcome Megan! I am from Wisconsin too. I understand why you may not put your city.. but can you let us know what county you are in? It would be nice to have more farmgirls near me. Again, Welcome!

Welcome Megan, it's good to have you here. Friendship is more about interests than ages. There is so much here to enjoy and learn. I'm happy to see more here from the upper midwest lately.

Julie, I live in Southeastern Wisconsin in Milwaukee County. Not a lot of farmland here, but I do support the farms through the farmer's markets! Nicole, I knit mostly just scarfs and patches for blankets. I crochet as well, and I'm making two scarves for a school fundraiser.

Channah is right Julie. Age is just a number, and for someone to keep up animals and gardens at old ages doesn't make them boring old creeps, it makes them inspirational and young at heart. Channah, I have no barnyard animals, but I do have a dog that is aging :( But she still gets all of the attention she always gets.
God's Blessings,
Megan

A big farmgirl welcome to ya from Florida. I have 2 16 yr old daughters. Dont know if they quite fit the farmgirl profile but they certainly are not big city at heart.

I have family in Appleton.

Hi Megan and Welcome from PA.
It thrills me that there are so many young people interested in FarmGirl.
As mom to a 14 year-old sassy country girl, I'm going to encourage her to get on here and chat.
Well,.... maybe not - I may never get to use the computer again. ;oD
And Channah, I guess I've been out of the loop - I don't know how old you are - but I enjoy running into you around the forums!
(and I don't think you post too much - you're a sweetie.)

Blessings, staci

First I want to say Hi Megan from Virginia. Then I want to say Hey to Channah. I have said all my life that age is just a number and what you do with it is what counts. I now am 56 so keep that thought and you may stay young. One more food for thought an education is also what you put into it. Any one can go to college and get a dregree but it is what they do with that education that really makes the difference. I hope to speak to you young ladies often from here on out. Hoping you guys can reach out to more kids your age. If I was your mom I would be glad you are on farm girl posting other then some of those other things you hear so often that kids do. As with just days ago Marie Osmonds son killed himself for thinking no one cared about him. We love you. Lilly

learning the life I always wanted.
