Hi, my name is Amy. I have 7 children, ages 2-19, that I homeschool, I also work as a nurse part-time (very part time, at the moment). Dh , the kids and I just moved to a 6 acre farmette last November. We have had a dream of having our own little homestead for many years, and we were finally able to afford to buy a place with more land. It needs a lot of tlc, though. We have a dozen laying hens, and are currently raising meat chicks. I can't wait for spring to get here,so we can start our huge garden! Other than that, we are newbies at all things farming, Can't wait to look around here and learn more! |

Welcome Amy, from NE Ohio. You sound very busy. This is a great place to relax and unwind....if you can find some "free-time." lol You're gonna love it! Congrats on your Little Farmette. Best place to raise kiddos, in my humble opinion! They'll love it!

right now, I work at a skilled nursing/rehab center (aka nursing home) I love it, because I can work 1-2 shifts a month, and that is all they require of me. just enough to keep up with things, but it allows me to spend most of my time at home with my kiddos. |
