I just thought I would introduce us and say Hello! My partner CJ and I are currently living on 8 acres in middle Colorado. I know we aren't Farmgirls in the strictest sense, but alot of people say CJ is mostly girl anyways . We are just starting out, and currently sharing the acres with his family. This spring we will be starting to raise chickens for eggs and some meat, with next year adding pigs and the following year sheep/goats. In addition, we are doing three raised beds for a garden this spring. Our eventual goal is to be as organic and self sufficient as possible, especially since we are both gluten intolerant . Great to be here, I look forward to interacting with ya'll! Matthew

Welcome from sunny California! What are you planting in your raised beds? Are you familiar with permaculture? If you are just getting started, it's a very wholistic way of working with your land.

Therese, We are planning on doing a bit of everything. Pumpkins, squash, corn, tomatoes, herbs, some flowers, sweet potatoes. Its a little bit of everything without being too much. I've heard the term permaculture, but not sure I remember much about it. Could you refresh my memory a bit? Matthew
