Hi everyone, My name is Beth!! I joined in March and jumped right in to several swaps and now have authored several. It is such fun here! I'm a retired first grade teachers and music teacher. I had to retire because of a rare arthritic condition. I was so sad to leave all my babies! They were so precious. Have 4 boys and 1 daughter and 2 daughter in laws(but they are my daughters too)of my own. Love sewing, crafts, arts, collecting vintage Christmas items, and I love to make ornaments, etc. I also collect figurines of sheep and salt and pepper shakers. Just about everything! Live in a small southern town and enjoy life and people!! Smiles, Beth

Hi there Beth. Glad you came on and and said Howdy. Sorry to hear about your "Arthur." I hope it doesn't bother you too much. Otherwise, you sound like an active, happy Gal who enjoys "Kids" of all ages. Good for you! You sound like a great "Example" to all! Welcome to the Farm!

A big Wisconsin hay dare to ya Beth! We are so glad you joined us. Sorry about your arthritis, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which has made me change my life quite a bit. Teaching children is very rewarding, you probably really miss them. Don't you just love the swaps?

Hi to Everyone, my name is Carmen, farmgirl #1443, I joined 4/20/2010, and can't wait to meet like sisters. I was raised on farm, then my hubby moved me to the city! You can take the girl off the farm, but the farm never leaves the girl. Quilting is my passion of 37 years, I enjoy gardening, perserving vegetables, cooking old fashion comfort foods.I am retired and I am so looking forward to making new friends. Carmen

Hi everyone! I'm new to chat so I hope I'm doing this right I just love my MaryJanesFarm magazine! Been into the mag since January and today joined the Farmgirl Sisterhood. Looking forward to earning my Farmgirl Sisterhood Merit Badges and getting to know all of my Sisters. I have 5 children (with spouses), 12 grandchildren and 2 greatgrands with another due in June. I grew up on a farm but spent time in large cities. Thank goodness I'm back to the farm. Our towns population is 403. Mountian views in all directions. I love the feeling of dirt between my toes in my my vegetable and flower gardens, canning our bounty, sewing, crafts, writing, fishing, hunting and the simplicity of my lifestyle now. I hope to make many friends here. |
