Wow! I can believe all the warm welcomes. The blessings just keep coming. Hi everyone! I am so inspired by all of you. I have my two granddaughters, Madison and Claire with me tonight. Just love those girls and love being a grandmother. They call me Tashi.

Cathy you have so many wonderful memories of your grandmother. Thanks for sharing!! Have you ever thought about making a journal about her? I have a friend who keeps a family journal. She just writes down short stories about her family. I enjoy when she shares her stories. Your granddaughters could help you decorate the journal or add stories about you! Just a thought...Oh I also cann't have chickens due to HOA. I have even double checked our guidlines. Oh well many other farmgirl stuff to be done. Welcome - Barbara

Welcome Cathy! You are just going to enjoy it here! By the way, I love your granddaughter's name....Claire. I have always wanted that name for myself. Madison is beautiful too! What is the story behind the name Tashi?

| The name Tashi came from my oldest granddaughter Madison. When she was little, she heard someone call me Cathy and that was her way of saying "Cathy." It showed so cute and it stuck. It is pronounced Ta-she. So I have been Tashi ever since. All the kids call me that now. Both of my granddaughters were named after my mother, JoAnn Clairce. Madison Clairce, Claire Marie. My mother died of breast cancer, Aug. 21, 1996. My daughter really was close to her and thus named her girls after her. I come from a group of very strong and talented women,I am pride to say. |

Jennifer, thank for the warm welcome. That is funny how you say Pflugerville. I was so blessed to have grown up close to my Granny. Many people don't get that chance. I really am enjoying this site.

| Hello Cathy and welcome. My aspirations began with my greatgrand parents and then my Grandpa. Such a wealth of family knowledge passed on to me. I really cherish it. Your grandmother sounds like a sweetie. |
