It's so beautiful isn't it! I love to walk my garden and look at all the little sprouts. I swear if I could take better pictures I'd have them framed in my house!

That looks so nice and neat and weed free. Very pretty. I like the bag method. And everything is growing!

LOL - Angela, I can take the pictures, but I'm TERRIBLE at getting them off the computer!

Kris - That's about the only "weed free" spot on our property! The bag method is from an article (and book) in Mother Earth News. Since my raised beds have not been planted for several years, they had some serious weeds, and it's a little tough to rototill three feet off the ground! I decided to just do the bags this first year of real gardening, so help smother out the hardier weeds. Of course, all around and in between the beds are very weedy, but not as bad as in the past, as I'm out there 2 or 3 times a day to water and look, so I'm trampling the weeds. The first 2 beds are quite narrow, because we were trying to encourage quick warming of the soil. DH goofed a bit on the dimensions - they were supposed to be 2' across but ended up 18". The 3rd (and 4th-not in the photo, and not planted) are 3' across x 8'.

How cool is that.. just cut open the bags and plant! I started a raised bed this year and LOVE it! So far everything seems to be doing well in it. I want to add more raised beds- if not this year than definately next!
SO far I have about 4 different types of tomatoes, red peppers, green bell peppers, eggplant, cucumber, zucchini, lettuce and what we think may be radish (not sure b/c they were from our secret seed swap)
Happy gardening!

Looks great Melissa!
I have some sprouts over here. That's about all with this wacky weather!
Supposed to be down to the 30s again tonight...
