Hi. I came to this forum because I LOVE the magazine! My husband I run a small farm in Georgia (part-time; we're teachers in real life)with our three kids. The kids are the reasons we started farming. Healthy food, fresh air, nature all around.... A farm provides more than nutrition for their bodies. It also fosters a sense of responsibility for the animals and the earth. That's what we wanted for our family and that's why we farm. Thanks, Mary Jane, for providing this great forum!

Hey Julie and welcome from another Ga. girl! It's good to see more Ga. farmgirls here. I love your blog too. So where is Eastanollee? Never heard of it. I am near Chattanooga in N. Ga.

We're also in North Georgia but on the South Carolina side. We could be across the border in 20 minutes (if we needed to make a quick getaway, haha)

Hey Julie from another Georgia Gal. We have a small farm also and both work full time. I would love to retire and do more around ours. Welcome! I have been away from the site for a while and have missed it. Everyone is so sweet and helpful on here.

Hey! I just checked back (been busy wrapping things up at school) and I wanted to say thanks for the warm welcome. Nice to hear from so many neighbors. It's a small world after all.... Hope to see y'all around. Delicia, I love to look at chickens too. Watching them is better than TV isn't it?
