Hi everyone! I came across the Mary Janes Farm magazine while at a friends house and decided to check out the message board. It looked like it had a lot of things I am interested in doing or learning to do, and figured I could learn from you ladies. I have mostly participated in parenting message boards, so I sort of know the ropes. My husband and I were married in the summer of 2001 and I have been a SAHM since the birth of my oldest, a son who will turn 8 in July. We also have 3 other children, 2 girls (ages 6 years and 17 months) and another son who will be 4 in September.

I started getting into more "do it yourself" and "natural" things when I was pregnant with my first. I wanted to breastfeed and cloth diaper and things really took off from there with cooking, baking, thrifting etc. My husband and I are beginning the slow process of selling our about 1000 sq side of a duplex and hoping to find a home w/in our price range where we can have lots of land for a large garden, chickens (for eggs) and be able to rely on ourselves a lot more for food production than we do now.

Anyways, this looked like a great resource for me, I look forward to learning more from all of you ladies.
