Hey all..was just wondering about what vaccinations to give my calf. I wanna raise her as natural as possible but also I would not like to put her at high risk for anything. Her mama is from an organic dairy herd and I would love to stay as close to that as possible. I also want to switch my chickens/ geese over to all nautural feeds or make my own mix lemme know your suggestions please!

I Really don't know alot about cows yet. I got Mazie and Cowboy off the slaughterhouse truck and pumped them full of La200 for about 5 days. And that is all the shots they have had. I don't feed them grain either. So when Cowboy went to the butcher he was all grass and hay fed.

But with Mazie being pregnant (hopefully!) and calving in about 9 months I will want to know what to do also. I want healthy calves and happy mommas here. But can a person do too much? I don't give my goat kids any vacs except CDT. And the does don't get anything.

So I hope you get some good answers here, Leanne. I am interested also.

I did get a little broshure in the mail a few days ago from Hiland Natural feed in Ohio. Their web site is www.hilandnaturals.com if you are interested. But no prices are listed.

Kris
