Look what I found this afternoon!

I had forgotten all about my compost bin from last year and my DH and I walked past it today discussin fruit trees and where to plant them. I looked over and saw that it was growin! I had thrown the old tomato plants from last fall in there and there was still a few tomatoes hangin half rotted on the limbs. I figured they'd just break down with everything else. I guess not! I had just told my DH I wanted about 12 more tomato plants next year for sauce makin, but it was too late to start any extras for this year. I guess God was watchin out for me. He planted about 40 more for me and they will be ready to start pickin from in a week or so! I am so blessed! Even if it is in a very odd spot!

What a great gift! We had this happen when I threw squash seeds in the compost one season, not thinknig that they'd grow. The next year we ended up with 3 different kinds of squash with a yield of about 15 squash total. What a blessing! Enjoy your 'maters!!

My sister just told me last night that she wanted to learn to make tomato sauce but her tomatoes aren't doin good. They are tiny and not puttin on any tomatoes. I now have more than I really need and was gonna just can them up and share them with whoever I could get to take them. Now I have enough to teach her to make tomato sauce and she'll have a pantry full for the year ahead! God is good!
