I entered 2 flowers, and some Sungold cherry tomatoes in my local county fair, and I won 3 blue ribbons! I would encourage everyone to enter something in your local fair, celebrate growing! I started entering things in our local fair when I was a kid, because my great aunt and uncle encouraged me to and I hope that my kids will be involved in the fair as they grow up. They aren't interested in 4H but can enter things in the open classes.
It's easy, it's fun, and you might win some $$, (I won $2 !!!!)
