Anyone have any experience with Plectranthus "Mona Lavender?"
We had an art show this afternoon and my booth was directly across from a florist in the middle of main street in Bonduel. I watched the owner bring out this most unusual plant.I had to have it! -HUGE PURPLE blossoms on this one!
I have her hanging in the kitchen in front of 2 very large North windows.
Anyone have any tips on how to keep her blooming and happy? I have never had one of these before....

Marilyn....for some reason the leaves seem to be curled under? I noticed it when I bought the plant on Saturday----Do you have any idea why the leaves would curl? I gave her a good watering this morning and the blossoms have perked up but the leaves are the same--Darn it-I would really like to keep the color for a while. Must be an autumn thing....
How is your plant? Could it have been subjected to any sudden environmental changes....maybe more/less light level, different temperature, humidity or a breeze or draft when you brought it home? Did you check to make sure there are no insects or signs of disease that might be causing the droopiness? Sometimes house plants can be really temperamental and will show their distress at the most unwelcome time....I hope your plant is going to be okay!

It's pretty much the same...the leaves are still curled under, but she hasn't dropped any. A good sign and the big purple blooms are still holding their bloom.
It's just the strangest thing seeing leaves on a plant all curled under like that-No bugs though and I am keeping it watered as directed. Do you think it takes a while for "mona lavenders" to adapt? Makes perfect sense what you said about sudden environmental changes-I can relate to that!!
