Hello, sisters;
My name is Sue. I live with my husband (best friend) on 1½ acres in what I would call a real handmade home. We bought an old farmhouse that needs loads of TLC. With the help of family, but mostly on his own, my husband works his heart out to make this old cottage comfortable while I hold the very occasional nail or piece of lumber, and basically try to stay out of his way. BUT, when a room is renovated I get to sew the finishing touches (window treatments and other soft furnishings).

I cherish backdoor friends. The first room they enter here is the mudroom which my husband has made into a sweet sewing studio for me. This is where I teach elementary age children how to sew, and also where I sew for our home, family and friends.

I like...

... the smell of laundry fresh off the clothes-line

... wearing long skirts, jumpers and aprons (not neccesarily all at the same time)

... and the quiet company of our house bunny, Charlie, who is presently tickling my leg with his whiskers.

I’m interested in...

... learning more about no-till gardening

... permaculture

... and sustainable, self-reliant living. Oh! and how to crochet a project without having to watch the how-to videos.

I work part time at a fabric store.

So, if you managed to read this whole introduction to the end you are either very persistent or a kindred spirit. Either way I thank you for taking the time to read it! I’m excited to learn about you and the Farmgirl Sisterhood.

Welcome, Sue. I just went to your blog. I could just spend the day there. Beautiful. I want to live there. So much history. I love it. I am so glad you have joined us here. I hope to see you around. And maybe you could come to Ga. and teach me to sew also. Karen's not too far away from me. I liked the modesty video too.

Lifes not the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away.

Just a small town country girl, farmgirl, loggergirl, trying to live her dreams. :)

P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!!

Thank you all for your warm welcomes! After reading your posts and visiting everyones blogs I feel like I've come home.

Jill: Where is Willowbrook? Googlemap doesn't know (neither do I *blush*). Blueberries, yum! I bet you have some great family recipes :-)

Marian: I visited your blog too. It's beautiful, and you are right about google translator...it's TERRIBLE(-y funny)! lol But I got the gist of your stories.

Nancy Jo: I left a message on your blog too. I think the shoppe you mentioned you'd like to visit is Weatons, and yes, it is a farmgirl's shopping paradise.

Good grief, I hate my laptop sometimes. The last post somehow got posted before I was finished. Anyway, as I was saying...

Kris: Thank you. Thank you. You will. I'd love to. I'm glad you found the video interesting too. I found his videos gave me a paradigm shift, a deeper understanding of modesty and chastity.

Hannah: It's nice to meet you!

If anyone tried the link to my home business and it didn't work that's because I made a type-o. It should work now :-)
