I just pulled my sweet potato vine for fall clean up & it has a huge potato & several other starts.
2 questions: Can it be overwintered inside, & is the potato edible?
Thanks!

I grow ornamental sweet potato vines also. The squirrels always dig in them. I don't think they are edible, but I may be wrong.

I do not think they are edible (but not sure), but you can certainly overwinter the 'taters'. Store them in a cool, dark place as you do for regular taters and then plant in spring when ALL danger of frost is past. :0) I did this one year, and they came back great.
