Hi everyone...

I just joined the MJF Farmgirl Sisterhood a couple of weeks ago. Oh, do you know what it's like to be the kid in the candy store...and you don 't know where to start because everything looks super cool and super interesting? That's how I feel about being a Farmgirl Sisterhood Member ;) :) So I just wanted to say hi to everyone.

I'm going to take a look at earning badges. I am constantly knitting something...and it looks like it's time to get out the sewing machine!!!

Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Hi Heather! Welcome to the FG Sisterhood. Whereabouts in Oregon are you? Yes, there are fun badges to earn. I'm still working on some & also doing the young cultivator program with my son

A big welcome from Michigan Heather! You will just love it here!! I've got to get myself working on badges...winter is coming, that will slow me down a bit (I hope!)

Hi everyone...I just wrote a reply and it didn't go through..so here goes!!! I'm so excited to meet you all!!! I feel like a kid in a candy store...that's the best way for me to describe the forum...so many interesting subjects and people. I live in Southern Oregon, specifically in Jackson County!!!

Oh, Today is Votin' Day....so my dad and I cast ballots..then we went shopping ;) :) :) I'm going to try for a knitting badge, because I"m always knitting something...so that'll be natural for me...I hope :) :) Then I'll see what's needed for the sewing badge :) :) This is so fun!!!

Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Welcome, Heather from another Oregonian! I live out in Reston, about 18 miles west of Roseburg. Loyce, we are nearly neighbors! Do you live on the banks of the Umpqua? My dad was a fly fisherman and always said that the river was the reason they moved to Roseburg back in 1955. I work in the library office, next time you're in town I hope you can stop in and introduce yourself, I would love to meet you. Jewel, our middle daughter and her family live in Bend so we try to get over the mountains as ofen as possible.
I need to get busy earning some of those badges too; I've been teaching myself the art of hand embroidery and winter is a good time to get back at it. I love being a part of the forums and chatrooms but where we live we can only get dinosaur-dial-up so I don't get to visit as often as I would like, which would be all the time because I love it here.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi everyone...

@DyaLynn - I'm not near Roseburg...I'm in Southern Oregon living in Jackson County...about an hour's drive from the CA border. Although Roseburg is only about 2 hours from me...I think :) :)

@everyone else ;) :)...Yeah!!!!!!! Nice to meet you all :) :) I decided on a knitting project. It's a Christmas stocking..The pattern is a bit different in that I"m only knitting the front half of the stocking. The back and the lining are fabric!!!

Love and hugs from Oregon :)

Hi, Heather Welcome! I'm a new Heather on here too, It has been great so far, I'm working the badge that has you write in a gratitude journal. I never got the hang of knitting, my needles just got stuck together.

Oops, sorry, Heather for running my sentances together, my comment about being neighbors was directed at Traildancer who lives in Glide, though really we're all neighbors in this place. And hey while two hours isn't quite right next door it's not really so very far away. I don't get down to your area of our lovely state often enough and there is so much to see and do in Jackson County.

Thanks for your invitation to coffee, Jewel, I will let you know next time we're visiting Bend, I would LOVE to meet one of my farmgirl sisters. And anytime any of y'all find yourself in Roseburg do stop by the library and say howdy.

I was never able to get the hang of knitting either, though I may give it another try. Our oldest daughter is really good at it so I try to keep her supplied in yarn so I can hint that I would love a handmade gift for Christmas. I did re-learn to crochet though I'm not very fast. I'm finishing up a rag rug that uses a very large hook; I bought this kit at a crafts fair awhile back and it's been a fun project.
