Yes there is something about the old family spoons especially, just nice to have that connection. I love your favorite lamp and your other treasures, it is always such a treat to see your goodies...

Spoons are smooth and round and pretty shaped. Forks and knives can cut or poke you and do not bring feelings of comfort.
Chicken soup from a spoon when you are sick....ice cream from a silver spoon when it si hot outside, sugar sprinkled from a spoon when we want Cheerios.....see what I mean?
Plus it is just feels good to say the word spoon. Love your collection. I use the one you sent me everyday in our sugar bowl.
