I get to plant an herb garden for my goats next spring! Momma's giving me a plot all to myself to plant whatever I want!
I have been gardening since I was 5 years old and I just love it!
Sorry, just wanted to share my excitement with all of you. :)
Hugs,
Hannah

Hannah...I share your excitement! That is so nice of your Mom!! And I love that you have been gardening since you
were 5. What specific herbs do goats eat???

Before I forget, did you ever get your goat soaps made? I know you were waiting for some ingredients from
a vender or something. I still want some...if you get them made. But probably NOT until after the first
of the year now. I can't be spending money on me...at Christmas!

Hugs and Smiles,

Hi Peggy, Thank you so much! My mom is the best in the world. Love her so much!
About the soap, My first patch of soap didn't turn out too well but I have started another and it is doing wonderfully! It will be ready the first of January if not before that. I will have Cinnamon orange, Rose Geranium, and oatmeal Chamomile. I got a little carried away with the oatmeal chamomile and added a little to much oatmeal so its like taking an oatmeal bath. lol Still works well though and leaves your skin really soft. I will e-mail you asap when it is done. :)

Karla, I am planting some Peppermint, Ecinacea, Yarrow, Chamomile, Lemon Balm, and some Calendula. :) I will probably think of more later but this is a start. :)
I am so excited!!
Hugs,
Hannah

I completely understand your excitment. I was through the roof when my hubby looked over our garden this summer and pronounced it too small. I actually hollered and jumped at him to hug him! LOL! The neighbors tease me about bein the 'crazy neighbor lady', but they sure love my extras from the garden and the kitchen.

I've been plannin and replannin next years gardens, yes plural, I get 4, yeah, since I got last years barely growin! I have even been workin out a monthly garden duties schedule. I am tryin to grow some stuff indoors in a homemade greenhouse and I have been collectin lumber from different construction sites and anything usable that people are tearin down to build an outside greenhouse.

I've been gardenin and eatin right in the garden all my life. My dad has a picture of me at about age 2 with a carrot in one hand and a bunch of leaf lettuce in the other sittin under a cherry tomato plant about to bite a little tomato right off the vine by my cheek! He says it was my favorite lunch, a garden salad! He says I would never wait for him to chop it all up for me! I still eat while I work in my own gardens. My baby girl, who just turned 2, helped me plant this year. I had pea vines and green beans in every row. We spent weeks diggin up the potato plants from all over the garden and replantin them in the potato rows!

You have fun in your garden and the plannin will keep you warm all winter!

Last year we only had a little less than 1 acre so we had a very small garden but we wanted big one. We recently moved to a house with almost 6 acres. 2 1/2 were being used as soybean fields so this year we will get to have a much bigger garden. We have already planned it out. Quarter of an acre of corn. But we have a large family, me, my husband, 5 kids & my mother in law all live here so it will all go to good use.

Have fun researching through the winter what will be best for your goats. There is nothing more fun than dreaming about your garden on a cold winters day.
