This year, I sent out real, physical Christmas cards. I asked my friends and fam for their addresses and got back email addy's. Nope, had to have the physical mailing addresses. I posted about this a little while back.
Okay, so fast forward to the last week til now.
People are calling me for my address to send me a card! Most has said thanks for reminding them and that the email Christmas cards just don't have 'it', whereas, a real card is tangible. Something to hold and care about. The computer cards are nothin' to most. Not much thought, it seems.
Well, maybe I restarted a trend, ya never know!!

Our library loves collecting old Christmas cards for crafts. I am sending out a few cards, and I try to write a little note in each one,

I cut the front from the back of the cards, turn them over, draw a line down the middle and resend them out next year as post cards. Reused and less postage to boot!

I save my cards from year to year with my decorations. When I get out the decorations, I reread my cards from last year. Helps me get in gear and get my cards sent out. I agree ecards leave something to be desired. I usually send a little note with each card.

This seems to be one tradition I can't quite toss out the window, my mother spent hours, each year writing her Christmas cards.....then later in life did a letter each year. I have been doing letters for about 7 yrs., and of course the cards also. Thought about not doing them this year, but couldn't bring myself not to, an old tradition I love!!! I'm with you girls, the ecards just don't quite get it, do they??!!

have you all seen those cute hanging "banners" made with vintage cards? I luv 'em,,,so cute...I received one of those banners,,,and posted a pic of it on my blog, but you will have to click on the pic to see the banner better....how fun to save all cards to re-purpose into banners, gift tags or like Debbie said, re-use as post cards..... HoHoHo!
