Hello Gardenancy!
I'm new as well. I just sent in my money to "join" MJFG, but I'm still super new.
I live in Garland, Texas (which is close to Dallas), I have four children, I homeschool three of them, and I'm married to a great guy who's a police officer. I don't have a farm, but I wish I did. So for now, I'll be turning my backyard into my "mini-farm".
Nice to meet you! |

Amy Grace, What a lovely name. I grow almost everything! I have grapes, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, asparagus, herbs, jerusalem artichokes, horseradish, rhubarb, figs, pawpaws, apples, pears, peach, strawberries - those are my permanent plants. I start my own seeds inside early spring or direct sow leeks, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, beans, lettuces, spinachs, carrots, beets, turnip, radish, peas, chard, collards, kale, radish, popcorn, kohlrabi, broccoli, cabbage, cukes, zukes, watermelon, eggplant, garlic, okra, rutabaga, sunflowers...I think that's all that I grew last year. I grow almost all of our food. I can hundreds of jars and have 2 freezers full. Growing food is my niche.......... |

Welcome!! Oh my, Nancy.....there needs to be a nursery rhyme written after you instead of "Mary, Mary, quite contrary..." Your garden beats hers!
Blessings, Catherine

Hi everyone....lucky for me I have a direct connection to Nancy via my Mom! I have yet to see her gardens but am planning on going this year. I live 6 hours away in Indiana but grew up back in Ohio. My mom and I just joined MJC so we are newbies but are loving the farmgirl sisterhood community. My mother is always raving about gardenancy's garden. I do think a poem would be fun and appropriate....so here goes....
Nancy Nancy starts her own seeds and plans and plans to meet her dietary needs.
Ok ... who is next? Let's get the poem going.
One day at a time! |

Hi to all, I'm Melissa's Mom and Nancy has been a friend of mine for several years. She is an amazing and talented person and I've learned a lot from her. Her garden's are amazing!!! This is my first post and here is my addition to the poem.
With knowledge in hand and a thumb so green, She plans and designs a garden supreme. She definitely is the local gardening Queen.
May our life be as beautiful as the flowers that we grow! |
