Hi - I am new to MaryJaneFarms. I love the magazine and this is my first day on line to chat. We have 6 chickens that I call "The Ladies". They are awesome. My daughter just loves them. Hope to hear from some of you soon. Thanks.

Lori, welcome! You'll love this site......there's some seriously nice women here. Also, there's a wealth of information, too if you're a new farm gal.

Hi, Lori, This is my first day at the Farmgirl connection. I have been getting the magazine for a while and just love it. I also have chickens but only three at this time. I have always just loved chickens-don't know exactly why. I think it is, not only because they are so cute but they also give back something - eggs. My husband and I are also raising Alpacas. We adore them but are really getting an education. Several died last year from excess heat in the summer. I must say, all you ladies sound so fun and inspiring. I am sure to enjoy this. |
