This is going to be a beautiful week with near perfect weather in the high 60's. I was out front herding turkeys back up the driveway and noticed my 2 forsythia bushes have a little bit of green poking out! Then I went to look at my apple and pear trees and they have a few little leaves poking out too! I am also seeing jonquils all over the place coming up. I just hope we don't get that horrible blizzard I am hearing about now.
I just had to share about this. It is so exciting to be seeing these brown limbs with a tiny leaf here and there. So I know spring is just around the corner now!
What are y'all seeing in your neck of the woods right now? Please tell.
Kris

Our snow is about gone except for the really deep drifts. The temps are in the 50's and supposed to get up to 70 this week. As much as I like the warmer temps, so do my peach and apricot trees. If they start to bud out, the next cold spell will get them AGAIN. And we WILL have another cold spell. At least another 6 weeks before we can relax and not worry about freezing cold.

ugh! You guys make me jealous! It's like 10 degrees outside, and I still have two feet of snow on the ground. <sigh> Spring is sooooo far away...

Hey you guys. Spring is SO close. Just remember that. All you in the cold parts of the country will see all this too very soon. Mine is just barely showing right now. But I think after this weeks warmer temps things will really start to show. And unlike Tine, who is farther South, nothing is actually blooming yet here. I am willing to wait a little longet for all that beauty. So it will happen. SOme sooner than others will see it but you will too. Just hang on!
