Thanks gals, it's fun to have someone to share the excitement with! DH couldn't care less, lol. We have 5 Tunis and 2 CVM sheep we will be shearing. I have fleece from Border Leisters, Icelandic, Chevoit, Churro, and Painted Desert sheep that I've been playing around with on the drop spindle (along with CVM, which is heavenly!!) and I can't wait to get going on the wheel! Now, to find more hours in the day....

That's wonderful. What a bargain. Best of luck with it and please post some pics when you have something done. I would love to see it. hugs Marcy

Molly, that is exciting. I sure wish we lived closer. I have my great grandmother's wheel and need to learn to use it really bad. That is my goal, to find someone to teach me. Then I neen to get a few fiber sheep so I will have my own wool. I have had Suffolk and sheared them before. But did not keep the wool. It really isn't the best to learn with though. Then I need to learn to knit. So I wonder what the best fiber sheep would be for my area. I need to do some research now.
Have fun! I hope you can post pictures of the shearing, please. I would LOVE to see that.
Kris
