good question Betty, from what I have heard (not read) it's best to stay away from anything "Genetically Modified" from seeds to foods... I am not sure about Bio-Engineered.... I would guess that anything that has been modified will have issues/mutations what evers. I prefer using seeds from my past plantings... or at least to buy organic seeds.... Thou I have noticed that with each generation of my origional Giant Mammoth Sunflowers(seeds),,,the sunflower stalks don't seem to continue in the large size and I have even gotten spindly 5 -6 ft stalks with multiple small sunflowers on them,,,not sure why,,,maybe it's the soil or water or??? up here? Doesn't seem to bother the bees tho. I will say one thing,,,my Sweetpeas are always consistant and they self sow...and best of all they are my birth month flower!
I will peek back to see if anyone has any imput on this topic... Thanz Betty for asking.
