My daughter left today for boot camp. She fell yesterday and hurt her ankle! I am asking for prayers for her, that this new chapter in her life will find her safe, and will be a positive experience. Thank you,Carol

I remember when My daughter left for basic. Kinda scary. She went to Alabama and she really loved it there. She enjoyed the structure and comraderie and all the hard work. I hope your daughter enjoys her time in and good thoughts going her way to be safe. MB

My DH and many other's that I know, say that basic training was a wonderful experience. It may be hard, but it is the hard that makes it great. Prayers to your daughter and thank you for her service. Also a little prayer for you, Mom.

Thank you all again. Lacey finally was able to write and we got a phone call Monday night. Sounds like she is struggling, but it is boot camp. Thank you for
keeping her in your prayers, Carol

Hello Carol,
My prayers are with you, your family and your daughter. Thank you for standing behind her and supporting her in this decision. I am sure it has been heart wrenching at time. My 3 sons are Military, one is career, one has been discharged after 2 tours do to a brain tumor and my baby has 2 years left. Boot camp may be very hard on you and her. About week 6 it gets tough and letters home can be heart wrenching. If you need support us Farmgirls are here for you. When graduation time comes and your daughter stands in front of you the Pride you will feel is unmatched with anything you have felt before. God Bless.

Thank you to everyone. We have been so busy I have not updated. Lacey called home last week and said things are going better now that she has "figured out" what they want! I know that will change. She sounds cheerful and upbeat in her letters but has 51 days to go. She is not fond of push ups and since she does not eat meat, or processed foods meal time is a challenge. She just has to do what she can to get by. THank you for praying for her, Carol

Erica, my 'baby' leaves for the Marines August 1st. I was in the Navy, attached to the Marines and I know how they take care of each other, which brings some peace. I will keep your son in my prayers, Carol

Hi Carol,
Just wondering what you've heard from your DD and how she is making out in boot camp? Where is she stationed? Thanking her for her service and you for your sacrifice and keeping you both close in thoughts. Hugs, Joey

She called yesterday and is doing well. She liked throwing hand granades! She seems happy, had some complaints but all in all is doing good. She is at Ft Leonard Wood, then off to Georgia in May.
