Hi farmgirls! I joined the sisterhood and the forums in January. Then I moved - Yikes! I have recently been reading the forums to get a feel for them, and even posted a couple of times, but wanted to formally introduce myself. I am looking forward to participating on the forums more. I am very excited to say that I've now earned 2 merit badges! They're so much fun and such an honor! Looking forward to getting to know you all more.

Hello farm Gal, I know where Peachtree Ridge Highschool is. I am familar with that area.I have friends that live off of Scales Road. Is that about where you are? How do you like your area? I have lived in Suwanne for now 29 years. We used to be in the BOONIES but then all the growth happened. I looked at your blog and it looks like you might be into crocheting. I help out with Newborns in Need charity and they are always looking for baby items that are knitted or crochetd. If you are interested there is a website to visit. www.newbornsinneed.org then got to the Sugarhill chapter. It is fun and rewarding. Have a great rest of the week and nice to meet a fellow farm girl in Ga.

Yes! Give yourself a couple weeks of getting to know the forum, and seeing how people post, and you'll be a pro! :) Welcome!

Alee, good questions and suggestion! I love gardening and crafting. I've been gardening "container style" for a while, because I was living in an apartment. Now we have a house with a huge yard that I am so excited about, but also very intimidated by...This year, I've mostly been doing upkeep of the previous owner's plantings and continuing to maintain my container plants. I'd like to start putting some of those in the ground and doing a lot of other stuff in the garden, but it can just be so overwhelming! My favorite craft (as Debra guessed) has to be crochet. I love it! I don't feel right unless I've got something on a hook, or many things on many hooks, as is usually the case. I know how to knit but have only done a little bit. I just figured out how to purl this winter, which was exciting! Plus with knitting, I can make my own needles-way fun! I have no idea how to make a crochet hook though. I also enjoy sewing and felting and woodworking, all a little at a time. So many more posts to respond, yet bedtime is fast approaching. I will keep coming back and posting more, hopefully on more topics as well.

Just wanted to say "hi, again." I have not been as consistent with the forums as I'd like to be. It's been a hectic year with moving into our first house in a new state, plus I'm 24 weeks pregnant! I'm so excited! I have been reading my MaryJanesFarm magazines a lot lately, and wanted to reconnect with the Farmgirl Sisterhood, especially during this exciting time. Missed you all!
