I have both new and old recipes for apple strudel, but they all involve the traditional strudel dough that makes a super-flaky crust, kind of like phyllo. Is that what you mean? If so, give me a little time to dig them out and post the one that seems like the best. |

Ooh, Alee, that sounds yummy. I guess you could use a recipe for cinnamon-raisin bread (poke the apple slices down into the dough before the first rise) and fake the topping, which would probably include butter, sugar, a little flour, and more cinnamon, maybe also chopped pecans). Let us know if you find a "real" recipe. I'd like to try it, too :-) |
