Thanks for checking in, I really appreciate all the warmth, thoughts, and prayers from all of you. Things seem to be getting very slooowly better. We stopped going to that counselor beacuase as some of you said, some of them are so used to dealing with divorce that they become hardened to it and expect it. I know it sounds silly, but I truly think that him having a pruductive way of getting out of the house through jiu jitsu has helped with a lot of his depression. It is so wonderful to see him excited about something. I have been praying a lot and trying to be more kind and considerate. I try and involve him in more things around the house and try to do little things to show him how special he is to me. At the same time I have been trying to take care of myself and my emotional needs more. I have been doing a cleaning and redecorating overhaul, and started taking crochet lessons at a yarn shop here with a girl who I am becoming fast friends with. So I guess things are looking up for now!
Dearest Sister Liz ~ Sending you strength and happiness all wrapped up in a checkered farmgirl bow of sistership. I've gone through some very rough patches in my marriage and though it may sound unfair, women have to give to the relationship more than men do. For me, at least, it has been worth every bit. It sounds like you are doing exactly the same. I'm wishing the very best for both of you!

I haven't been on the boards in awhile. Please contact me if you'd like to. I am up in Waukegan. Glad to hear things are going better. Where are you taking your crochet class?
