Since we had such a good response to the altered spoon swap, I decided to let's do a Christmas altered spoon swap!!!

We will use silverplated spoons, they can collected from estate sales, thrift stores, ets.
We will decorate them with a Christmas theme...Just think of the possibilities!!! They are endless!!
Sign up time will end on September 3rd. This will give everyone plenty of time to find a silverplated spoon.
Send out time or mail to your partner time will be by November 10th
This will give everyone plenty of time to find just the right thing to make a special Christmas altered spoon!!!!

Count me in! I just sent my spoon out today to my swap partner. I had a great time with this swap and I think a Christmas theme spoon would be perfect! Beth, thanks again for hosting these swaps!

Hi Carole, I usually find the spoons at thrift stores or antique stores for around $2.00 a piece. They are not expensive by any means. You may find teaspoon sized or tablespoon sized. Then you alter the spoon someway, by decorating it, etc.

I had to go AAAALLLLLLLLLL the way to Uniontown, Washington to find my spoons . . . :) I don't know mileage from Uniontown, but I know it is 1080 miles from MaryJanes Farm to my house!!!! Whew!!!
Trip was more than successful! It was above and beyond memorable!!!!
Anyway, now back to earth . . :)
I'll see what I can create with one of my spoons!

Ho Carole, If it isn't too badly tarnished you may not need to polish them....That patina would add to the look of the spoon...If they are really tarnished, a silver polish would do...You can usually find them at the grocery store or places like Walmart...Smiles
