If anyone has seen my thread on family matters, You would be familiar with my troubles. Long story short, my mother and her teenage children live with my husband and I and she is unemployed and a very heavy financial burden to myself, my husband and children and a lot of "difficult" situations arise between us due to her insufficient income.

A (well) paid position has come available at a place she has been volunteering (It's the same type of job she does for free now)and it has the ability to make her financially independent again and if that happens, it would be an enormous relief to us.

She will take it and be glad to get it if it is offered to her, job market is stiff here, I just hope there's no line of people waiting in the wings she gets passed over for.

Good luck! Is she making it known that she is interested or just thinking they "might" think of her?

She should definitely let them know she is interested in the job. I hope and pray she does get the job - it would be a blessing!

She's being proactive as far as I know. I think she realizes that this type of opportunity doesn't come along often.

Jen, bless your heart for taking care of your family like you do. I am praying that she will get the job and relieve the financial burden from you. I hope that she does mention she is interested in the job. I missed out on a position (even though well qualified) because I didn't express an interest. I will never forget that. Praying for God's provision for you all.

~Sharon
