Husband starts chemo today for lower esophagus/upper stomach cancer. Going to try to shrink it with chemo and radiation and hopefully won't have to do surgery because his heart is so bad he might not survive the surgery...BUT
They found an aneurysm when they found the cancer June 7th and he had SUCCESSFUL surgery to repair that two weeks later....
So please pray that the treatments will work and PRAY that he will QUIT SMOKING! He was supposed to quit smoking after the two heart attacks three years ago....and didn't....
It s hard to keep praying for God to do miracles when he seems he's spitting in God's face by keeping smoking! So please pray for ME in all this too!!!! thanks to all you farm girls! I'm keeping the farm going and the little general store going here too, through all this!!!

Oh my Suzi, Your plate is more than full! I'm praying for him to quit smoking and for him to also be healed by the chemo. Also praying for you, as it has to be so hard to watch him continue to smoke and damage his body. Can the doctor give him something to help him over the withdrawal part? hugs and prayers, Ruth

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!!!!!! So far he is tolerating the chemo fairly well BUT we went to the radiation doctor yesterday. We really really really like her, but she says that after four weeks of chemo, he will start radiation for EVERY DAY for nearly six weeks!!!
It is an hour to treatment and back, which we are thankful is not further, but I worry so of how this intensive treatment will hurt him and worry about leaving the farm and my farm store so much. So please please please continue praying for both of us!!!!

Suzy~you and your DH are in my prayers. I have surgery 8/23 and then chemo in Sept. followed by 6 weeks of daily radiation. It seems daunting now but it will get better. Many have done this before us and we can do it too! Hang in there and trust God!

Suzy,
I am so sorry to hear that you and your husband are going through this. I am praying that the Lord would heal your husband and for Him to strengthen and comfort your heart. I am also praying for the Lord's provision in this, financially, someone to help with the farm and animals, and even a place to stay when Chemo starts everyday. If I lived closer I would love to help you out so you could get rest and be able to take care of your husband without added responsibilities.
