I have a bunch of stuff to barter if anyone's interested in them. I'm looking for stuff to use for Christmas gifts for my husband and kids or a hair straightener or ???

What I have to offer is:

Magazines:
Grit July/Aug 2009
Taste of Home Nov 2010 Cooking School issue
Simple and Delicious Aug/Sept 2010

two travel pillows--they scrunch down tight in a little sack

several books:
Vegetable Gardening A Sunset Book
Prayer by Philip Yancey
Limos, Lattes, and My Life on the Fringe by Nancy Rue (for highschool age girls)
Taming Your Family Zoo by Donna Jones
Patchwork of Love (nice gift book with quilt pics and friendship writings)
The Right Choice Homeschooling by Christopher Klicka
America Land I Love (A Beka books, 1994 ed--lots of highlighting)

If you're interested, please let me know!!

Hi Cheryl :) I actually lived in ME for a couple of years :) "Way Down East" in Eastport. :) The only two I have are the ones in the top pic--they were from last year's cooking show--the Taste of Home one and the Simple and Delicious. In return--what kinds of things do you have to offer?

Hi Shiela! I live in Downeast Maine and have for 28 years. Married a local boy! I live in Machias. You would be amazed if you saw Eastport now, it has changed so much!!! It's actually a town with stores in it now and if not yet, are gearing up to bring cruise ships in occasionally. Lubec has also changed in the last few years and is full of life again. It's all the retired baby boomers from MA & NY moving up here and opening business's, mostly art or restaurant. Time will tell if they can stick it out or not, lol.

Hey Ginny, we lived in Machias for a year also--right across from Bluebird Ranch Restaurant--I worked at the elem school and at the hospital. Hey, I have a wood cutout thing of RoseMGaffney school if you or anyone you know would like it :) De-cluttering here!!

Glad to hear that Eastport and Lubec are doing well--we were worried when we heard of the fish disease that hit the salmon pens a couple of years back, but I guess they've bounced back! We're hoping to get up there sometime with the kids to show them the area :)

Have been to Brattleboro (my BFF lives in NH and we went shopping in VT) and was just in Machias in August as Oogie knows because I met her there. My brother lives in Machias. Anyway, I'd be interested in the GRIT mag. Please e-mail me with what you want in return. Thanks, Joey
