Hi Ladies!
My name is Amy. I'm 37. Originally from south Louisiana, my family and I recently moved to west Texas for a bit of a scenery change. I am a mama to 3. And a Nana to 1. I have been married to, Paul, for 17 years. He and I are soul mates. We are about to move outside the city limits and are very excited about it! I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you about this and that, all the while gaining knowledge of the farm life. Our last name is Farmer, so I guess it's about time we start acting like some!! In the near future we will have chickens and a garden.

Hi Amy, welcome to west Texas! I live north of Abilene, about 3 hours from you. You will find the climate much drier here than southern Louisiana. Welcome neighbor!

OOps! was gonna tell ya that I am Nana to 4 and one stepgranddaughter. I have 2 children. i live on a 15 acre farm. Have Chickens, geese, turkeys, ducks and quail. No cows right now, trying to get the pasture in shape after the drought. I have been married for 43 years to my high school sweetheart. I love my life and where I live. Its never a dull moment. Today a large hawk killed one of my chickens, and I was able to get my husband to get the gun and to kill it. The big black crows were attacking it so it was not focusing on us. He took it down with one shot and it fell and hung on a limb, to high to get so i guess the buzzard will be eating on the fly. Welcome again. Linda |
