Hello farmgirls!

My name is Heidi and I am new to the sisterhood. I am a wife, mom, student and organic gardener. I cook, bake, can, and dehydrate things on my itty bitty homestead. I am also addicted to fabric. I quilt and sew and I am always on the look out to learn new things.

I am working to get a MJF Sisterhood chapter started in my small mountain community. You can find me on my blog most days, learning some obscure or primitive skill like brain tanned buckskin, soap-making, or lactic acid fermentation, who knows what else. I am capable of anything. I am researching going off-grid today.

I am really looking forward to reading your new posts, to making new blog farmgirl friends, and to earning those fun to make sisterhood badges. Have a great week. My blog address is:

Hi Katmom! Yes. Technically, Tehachapi IS Southern California. We are about a half hour from Central Cali. I like Washington, my Mom was born and raised there. Lucky you. I will be checking out you blog next.
