Yesterday, I was sitting in front of Walgreen's waiting for my sister who was picking up a couple of things. The next five women that came into the store had on Pajama bottoms! I was agast. The only fashion statement wearing PJ bottoms makes is I don't care about myself.

| Was watching the local news early this a.m. and there was a report on some greade school clases - and well, the teacher was wearing p.j. bottoms. I yelled at my DH to look and he couldn't believe it either. There she was on the news for all to see wearing p.j. bottoms. Then we got to talking about girls/women who wear the low-rise yoga pants and show off their thongs. If only they knew how they looked in the back to others! Then DH mentioned the short-shorts that some women of a certain age or body type should not be wearing. Totally gross as our teenaged granddaughters would say. |

Early this morning after I ate breakfast my dog had to go out to potty. I put her leash on, slid on my slippers and walked outside in my striped pajamas. We live on a hill, way off the road so I usually feel okay going outside in my pajamas. Well, up the driveway comes a car. Thankfully my dog had finished doing her business, so I hurried inside. I was thinking how much I wished we had a security gate at our driveway so just anyone couldn't arrive unexpected when who should come to the door but my husband. He was driving a company car that I'd never seen before. He said, "Boy, you're not even speaking to me?" I had not expected him to come home at that hour and certainly didn't recognize the car. I told him why I'd hurried inside and he said that he thought I looked a lot better in my pajamas than some of the women he'd seen out and about. Bless his heart. I really did look awful and wouldn't dream of being seen in public in my pjs unless it was an emergency.

I agree with all of you. PJ belong in bed or at least in the house. Never in public. I also agree with the bra strap showing under the spaghetti strap top. Who decided it was ok for underwear to be seen in public? I mean, isn't that why it's called 'underwear'? Am I just to old to understand?

I don't like the wearing of pj bottoms and slippers as clothing. I agree - it's sloppy. I can't stand to stay in my pj's for very long (or leave my bed unmade)- I associate it with illness!
