Thanks y'all! I hope to be posting more soon. I'm just starting a compost pile/bin and a chicken flock this season so I'm sure I will have plenty of questions!
Kempner is in Central Texas, near Fort Hood. We're about an hour and a half north of Austin. I am originally from south Florida though, and sometimes I miss the coast!

Christine, we have a online chapter/henhouse called The Heart of Texas Farmgirls and that group is broken down in to subgroups depending on if your are in cental Texas or the Gulf Coast or the Hill country, etc.
We also have a facebook page by that same name.
One of our sisters, Jennifer, hosts a get-together on her farm in October, otherwise we have been getting together mostly online.
