HI! I live in rural Northern California where I have been in the farm girl sisterhood for about 9 months. I've not really figured out the forum part of the sisterhood.
I am starting a new chapter in my life after completing my AS degree last month in Business Administration and I am currently working as an intern with the Geographical Information System department at the college.
I home schooled my kids the last 14 years and started late having kids. I was 31 when my oldest daughter was born and she will be 21 next weeks, so I will let you do the math. My internship is a combination of all the things I have been trained for: I teach middle school and high school students about GPS.
I love what I do and I love making something out of nothing. (Not really nothing, what other people would throw away) My house is decorated with all the "legacies" I acquired from my elderly clients. Some of my treasures are: a treadle sewing machine, floor to ceiling bookshelf, a daybed, needlework rack and much more.
This year I started a blog to share my stitching and GIS'ing.
Welcome Deena. Enjoy your time with all of us. Marly
