Hi ladies. Does anyone know of another way to get rid of pantry / flour moths? I normally use the traps you can buy at the hardware store but it drives me insane to pay the prices they ask for them.
Hi...this topic interested me so I went online and found some interesting information on a website http://parents.berkeley.edu/advice/health/moths.html There are several comments posted which may assist you in this problem. I find the information very useful. Best to you. Annie
I have used cinnamin and bay leaves to rid my cabinets of them. I really had them bad one year and ended up buying the traps. You are right they are sooo expensive.
Interesting, bay leaves and cinnamon. Thanks girls.

I have heard of using the bay leaves but never the cinnamon. Is there anything that kills them? I'm thinking just having them leave is a temporary fix.
farm girl sister#43 http://www.ladybugsandlilacs.blogspot.com/ O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce, Or a trouble is what you make it! And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts, But only--how did you take it?
I just wanted to say that taking everything out of the cabinets and finding the source of the moths is the most important step in getting rid of them. I try to freeze all my flour for at least a couple of days to kill off any eggs that are already there also. I also store it will bay leaves tucked inside the container. I do agree with the price of the traps, they are outrageous.
