This might have been in the Biz section of this site but a while back, I asked everyone about a 'certain company' who advertises 250 biz cards for $10. The responses I had were not to use them...

But, I didn't listen. I thought they were inexpensive and fast to do (not needing to do up a logo quickly) and 'let's just see what they look like'.

While the cards look great, I also got some return address labels too, I just found out, they have been charging me for a website in my personal name, not even my business name for two months!! When I called to ask for a refund, the call was so static-y I could barely hear. Well, I've had some luck with posting on any company's FB accounts when I had difficulties and getting a quick response, not to mention the one I wanted. So, I looked this company up and they aren't even in the US. Like the Netherlands...

I still haven't a refund and just called again. A little better this time, used a landline phone, and the lady told me it will be one to tow billing CYCLES before I see the money!

So, I just had an order turned down by the bank because I didn't have enough money in the account. (I only keep enough money in the account to cover what I order, there isn't much lee-way. Like if I order something for $10, I have $10.01 in the the account)

You gals tried to warn me, oh, yes, you did!! I was in a hurry and didn't listen!! I promise from now on, I'll listen and take to heart what you tell me!!

Winona: Sorry you went through that. We all learn from our mistakes. I sure have. I hope you get your money back.

Thank you. Well, I'll keep bugging them til the money shows back in my account. The thing is, I really liked the biz cards and the return address labels. They are pretty nice. Not the best but fine for what I want to do with them. They have now lost my business over this and I'll be sure to think it through next time! Lesson learned.

Ah!...I think I know who your talking about. It took 6 months for me to notice they where charging me for some website security thingy. I didn't get any of the money back but I was happy that they at least stopped it.

You'd be suprised to find out that FedEx can do biz cards & such for you at just a slightly higher cost. A few months back I got 500 hang tags from them for about $15.

The only reason I noticed was I use a prepaid card for online things and wondered why $4.99 X's two was gone. Then I viewed the transactions and found it!

I can do my own cards on my laptop but am a bit slow in leanring how to do things so I thought I'd just order a few cards while learning how to do things. Someone on here offered to make some for me for about the same price but I didn't have time to figure out a logo.

Well, I shoulda taken the time to figure it all out!! If I don't get the money back, I figure I have learned a valuable lesson, one I won't soon forget!!

Winona, so glad that you caught it so soon. I get so tired of these creepy companies who suck you in and then charge you for all kinds of stuff. I sure hope you are able to get your money back. Maybe if enough people do that, they'll get the message!

Thanks for the support and replies.

I received two emails reporting I'd receive the refunds and then, are you ready?...they said due to all the 'trouble' I qualified to get 25% off of ANYthing on their site/in their 'store'.

Are they nuts?? No way am I dealing with them again!! I guess they had to try to offset giving my money back, IF I get my money back.

I'm pretty new to internet shopping and sometimes it's better to go with who you know (Amazon, Walmart, etc), pay a little more but be assured you're getting what you wanted but on the up and up too.

I had a problem with Farmer's Almanac and they refunded my money for a product that didn't show up for almost four weeks after they said it would, then the product mysteriously showed up the very next day after a tense phone call (one customer service lady was rude and we had a testy exchange in which I finally reminded her "I" was profit and she was "overhead"), then I called them back to say it had shown up and to recharge me the money. The guy said nope, just keep the product AND the refund, no charge!! After getting over being miffed at them, due to their policy, I will prolly do business with them in the future.

Wow, internet stuff isn't like taking a defective product to a store and 'just getting a refund'! You have to be made of sterner stuff!!
