Finally after three years of work I walked on Friday and got my Masters Degree in Health Education and Promotion from East Carolina University at the young age of 57. Now I get to pay back the student loans till I'm 72, YIPEE!! Are any other farmgirl sisters finally done? |

| I also have one more year of school before getting a history degree, Patricia. Although my semester's not done yet this spring, they like keeping us a while at my school it seems. |

Congratulations. I got my Masters in Special Education many years ago but I remember what a challenge it was going to school, teaching and raising 2 kids. It is hard work. I spent so many nights doing homework and so many days going to school after teaching all day. I don't know how I did it when I think about it. It was all worth it though.

Congrats, Connie!! I received my Masters in Educational Leadership in August of 2010. It took me longer to complete the program than the catalog suggested, but I was juggling a full-time teaching position, 4 children, and a household. I remember the great sense of accomplishment (and relief) I felt when I was finished. It was worth every minute! It's like I tell my children every chance I get...."your education is one of the few things that can never be taken from you". They don't quite "get" that, yet.
Anyway...sorry for the rambling....
CONGRATS!!!

When my son graduated high school, I entered college. Years later I received my Bachelor of Music degree and Master of Music +30 degree. I loved every second of my studies. Marly

| Thanks to all my farmgirl sisters for the congrats and good wishes. Jennifer, I had also hoped that my hard work would be an example to my children. Unfortunately they just called me a nerd or a Steve Urkel, but I could tell that they we proud. |
