I will be praying daily for Jacob. I've put him on our local prayer list. I can't wait to see what he thinks about all the cards.

Thank you all so much! I didn't realize that this thread was posted until we received card after card from your Farmgirls! Jacob is displaying them on some shelves in his hospital room and it makes it so cheery! He loves, loves, loves mail call!
Today is day 11 in the hospital. Jacob finished 6 days of heavy chemotherapy, had one day of rest, and then received his stem cell transplant. Today is day 3 after transplant. His mouth is extremely sore with all the sores and sloughing off of tissue in there (this is expected with this type of treatment...the chemotherapy is brutal). He is on morphine and hasn't eaten much of anything for two days. They are putting him on IV nutrition this evening. Because of the morphine he is pretty much just sleeping all the time. They say that there is 10-14 days of rough stuff like this so every day down is one less to get through. It will probably be worse towards the end of the week before it starts to get better. His white count is at 0.0 and this morning he needed a platelet transfusion but his Hemoglobin is holding steady right now. This is one tough boy - Jacob is such a sweetheart! Thank you all for supporting him and showing him love.
