I started to post this in the Swap section, but decided it would fit better here. I thought it might be fun to swap 7 random things about ourselves with each other. I saw this on a blog and thought it might be interesting.
Seven random things about me
1. I love rainy days and the cozy feeling I get.
2. My chickens act more like pet dogs than chickens, sometimes.
3. I like watching old tv shows from the 60s and 70s. The latest being "The Virginian".
4. One of my pet peeves is when someone brushes their teeth and doesn't wash out the sink.
5. When I hang up my clothes the hook of the hanger must go to the left when looking at the front of the garment.
6. I like cooking, but hate cleaning up.
7. I love Jesus.

Randomness is always fun :-)
1. Camels are my favorite animals and I cannot wait to move to Oklahoma so we can get one! (and a pet skunk too)
2. I really want 6 kids.
3. I love rainy days.
4. I really want to start getting into entomology for a hobby.
5. I'm a camping "purist". If it's not a tent, it's not really "camping".
6. I don't understand how people can "not like animals". It is unfathomable to me.
7. I drove a semi at my last job. I loved that truck!

#1 I am like a little kid the first day it snows
#2 I drink coffee from the time I get up until I go to bed
#3Chickens are the love of my life
#4 I stay barefooted pretty much all year around
#5 I love tomatoes but can't for the life of me start them from seed
#6 I am left handed & so right brained I see everything as art
#7i would rather live in a tent than a fancy house..pioneering blood is in me.

Hm, seven random things....
1. I am a synaesthete.
2. I was a big surprise: my mother was supposed to be infertile.
3. I play spoons and the bodhran.
4. I suffer from vertigo.
5. I can't drive a car.
6. My brain works like a card catalog: if I can create an image of something in my head, I can "file" it away and never forget it.
7. I can guzzle water and still dehydrate--but if I drink coffee I stay perfectly hydrated.
A hook, a book, and a good cup of coffee.... |

how very interesting to read the seven ranodm thoughts of other farmgils..
1. i have suffered many life altering tragedies in my life..
2. i love my husband and my family
3. i tottally love flea markets and yard sales
4. i want to love God more
5. reading is fabulous
6. pino grigio is wonderful
7. i would love to write a book someday

Interesting stuff here. I've seen the "25 things" which is definitely way harder than 7! lol I'll try though!
1. I just started my new course, a Natural Nutrition course from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. So far, so good! lol
2. I can drink gallons of tea all day long, but coffee makes me sick & jittery & not able to sleep at night. Tea has no side effects for me lol.
3. I love re-reading childhood books. And series. Multiple times. If I like a series, I will buy it & continue reading it until I die :p
4. I'm looking for ways to get off medications & do things "naturally" instead.
5. This is my first year doing a patio garden, never mind a garden on my own.
6. I have only one nephew, yet I have 5 nieces (one is in her "forever home", and the 2nd isn't really my niece, she's my cousin's daughter)
7. I am particular in the way I put things away in my home - cups a certain way, plates stacked a certain way, etc, but I hate doing dishes.
Ok, that wasn't so hard - glad it wasn't 25! lol
Life isn't about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself.

Hmm...
1) I thrive on sunny days and yellow is my favorite color because it reminds me of sunny days.
2) I love the smell of coffee but not the taste, so I drink tea and probably have 30 kinds in my kitchen right now.
3) I am very curious about everything, especially people. I want to hear every story and wish I could find a way to turn this into a book.
4) I love Jesus and am grateful every day.
5) I have been struck by lightening and am terrified of thunder.
6) I almost died and have had an out-of-body experience.
7) I could live the rest of my life in bed just reading and be perfectly content forever.
Well behaved women rarely make history. |

1. I hate shoes. Only have 3 pair.
2. Very content being home alone.
3. I love that my world revolves around my husband. I truly appreciate the life he provides for me.
4. Sometimes...I love my dog and chickens more than the kids. hehe
5. I LOVE my job and my boss. he is the best!
6. I love to play word games/puzzles
7. Even though she drives me crazy. I love my mom. And miss her alot when I don't see her. |

ok let's see:
1. I have been a pyrotechnician since the 1980's
2. My favorite candy is Peanut M&M's but I spit out the peanut cause it gives me something to do when I drive (I hate driving)
3. I lived in the real desert for 5 years (Southern California) and witnessed 2 days of temperatures over 120 degrees in 1995
4. I spent a month in Australia with my family
5. I am an animal keeper and work with rhinos and antelope
6. I can't clip my fingernails and must bite them instead and then file them down to nubs
7. I collect knives and antique marbles (harder to do now that I'm further away from Burlington Flea Market) |

1.- I've never had a cup of coffee...I tasted coffee when I was a teenager and that was enough for me
2.- I wish I were a lounge act singer..lol....I don't sing well....but I keep trying...
3. In my mind I'm forever 16...or maybe 12.... I have a lot of energy.
4.Although most people think I'm very modern I'm very old-fashioned in the running our home
5. I have a pink floral Schwinn bike with a basket that I ride
6.I talk to my plants and flowers
7. I think my cat is a boy trapped in a fur body---lol lol lol

1. I have a son who was born with Down Syndrome
2. My only daughter is also my best friend
3. We wrangle a hobby herd of Longhorn cows
4. Am an accomplished musician and play a "mean" piano
5. Love to go "tent glamping" with my daughter
6. Live on acreage that was part of the family farm I grew up on
7. Love Colorado and being in and looking at "my mountains".

2.I live on 10 acres in NWGA and only have a small garden.
3.We are planning on having cows,chickens,bees and maybe pigs in the next 2 yrs.
4.I love my husband,granddaughters and my precious daughter
5.I am a Massage Therapist,Master Cosmetologist and Cosmetology Instructor.
6.I am really 10yrs old...but was born in 1956..
7.I say good morning and good evening to the neighbors horses and cows as I drive by everyday wishing they were mine
we have moved to our farm...and love it |

1. I lurve my hubby and kids/gkids, at times more than others...it ebbs and flows naturally.
2. I buy a DVD and watch it over and over again, til I'm done with it and then, mostly likely, never watch it again.
3. Discovered online shopping. Yahoo!!
4. Crazy about my horses and dogs and fish.
5. Learning how to run a small business.
6. Love my tiny house much better than the big one I used to have.
7. Cooking is a new interest and turns out, I'm pretty good at it. Shocking.
Actually, I could have gone on and done the 25! Had to pick the best ones!! Loved reading everyone's posts, lots of ideas in them.

1. I love to fish.
2. My oldest son died at 3 months from SIDS.
3. I love to dance...only I'm not as graceful as I think I am.
4. I actually love to clean house. ;0)
5. I love to garden, grow flowers and adore my 4 girls (chickens).
6. I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
7. I love to skydive.

1. I was a classically trained professional ballerina.
2. I was a vegetarian for 9 years until I decided I missed bacon far too much.
3. I secretly like the challenge of being broke (for a few days, anyway) so that I have to stay home and can clean my house top to bottom and take the challenge of making an amazing dinner with "what's in the fridge".
4. I worked as an adoption coordinator in a rural animal shelter for 2 years until I broke my own heart.
5. I love spicy food--all ethnicities!
6. I don't like sushi
7. I love my husband and my 3 year old daughter so much that it hurts.

Random it is...
1. Purple and pink are my favorite colors
2. I love my husband, my mom, and my stepchildren, but sometimes I wish I was alone
3. I like ice cream that has lots of goodies mixed in
4. I love roses and grow many in my garden
5. I sometimes talk in baby, TV and cartoon character voices at home and occasionally forget and do it in public
6. I've worked as a legal secretary for almost 20 years and I have never really enjoyed law or being a secretary
7. I forgot to renew my driver's license for over a year and had to retake the tests

Hi..you all are so intersting.
Well, my seven random things are:
1. I died as a passenger in car accident at age 17 and had a death experience. I was sent back with the angels telling me that my parents would not be able to handle the loss of me at that time and that I had a lot of work to do.
2. So, I went to work for Ma Bell and was a directory assistance operator, then learned to be an underground cable drafter drawing "to scale" plans to service the Glendale, CA Galleria Shopping Mall.
3. I went to college part-time for 8 years as an adult and earned my B.A. degree in Speech Communication with focus on Interpersonal Communication and Organizational Communication.
4. I assisted in Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo's Capital Campaign for the School of Agriculture helping identifying needs and donors and it raised over $1.5 million back in that day it was a big deal.
5. I was a Blue Bird through Horizons in Camp Fire Girls and loved that program.
6. I served as a Girl Scout Co-leader for nearly 10 years and designed Touch the Earth Summer Day Camp as a Co-director for two years.
7. I was stricken with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia in 1989, was bed-ridden for 5 years unable to walk and have since improved immensely and now no longer work, but quilt, read, garden, and enjoy photography, travel and Farmgirls.
That is a part of my journey. We never can see around the corner...but I am always looking for something interesting, have a sense of adventure, and enjoy the living.

This is fun. I should venture off the over 50's thread more often.
1. I turned 69 two days ago and feel pressure to get something accomplished in this last year of this decade of my life.
2. I miss my husband but love getting to hang out with girlfriends which I could never do when he was around because he was so needy.
3. I must be ADD because I can not seem to Ever Finish Anything.
4. My daughter was born with a little known disorder called Turner's Syndrome. She is my hero. When I think about what she has done with her amazing life, and now they recommend abortion when it is found in the fetus, I always cry. Thank God they didn't have a test for it back then.
5. I secretly breathe a sigh of relief every day at 5:00 p.m. when I realize I do not have to cook supper.
6. I often eat ice cream straight out of the carton at 3:00 a.m.
7. I allow my two little dogs, Penny and Lola, to sleep in my bed even when they ought to have a bath. They are a great comfort. We discuss everything.

Happy belated birthday, Glenda. I agree with your number 7. My dog was the greatest comforter, and now my 5 cats have taken over.

OK here goes for me:
1. I am one of four children, my husband is one of four children and
we have four children.
2. This is my third year of veggie gardening and I am getting better
at it every year.
3. Love black teas, hate coffee, but love the smell of coffee when I
first open the can.
4. I love to volunteer at my church; gives me such a great feeling!
5. I love Greyhound dogs, we have had 5 over the past 18 years.
6. I could sew on my sewing machine all day and someday I will!
7. My only son is a doctor. |

This is neat!
1. I can wear out a scrub sponge in the course of one day.
2. Each morning I write a huge list of chores I woun't have time to complete.
3. I work two jobs & aiming for a third.
4. I like to collect things from nature. ie feathers, rocks, antlers.
5. My day will be horrible if I don't get coffee & a shower when I wake up.
6. I love pitbulls! :)
7. Vintage fabrics make me all warm & fuzzy inside.
Live simply. So that others may simply live.
