1. I'm only 57, but wish I could retire NOW so I could spend more time with my retired sweetie! 2. I love to spin, weave and quilt, but don't have much time for any of it. 3. Rainy days and a good book are the best! 4. I hate liver, tripe and bananas - ugh! 5. I think I was born about 100 years too late. 6. I'm an only child, but everyone calls my mother "Mom", so I guess I have a lot of brothers and sisters! 7. My best friend looks so much like me that everyone thinks we are sisters even though we are not related at all!
Hugs, Luanne

These are fun to read!
1.) I love doing little things to get a reaction out of someone. Most of the stories are too long but an example would be at my last job I called my group lead (and good friend) up from one of the phones on the shop floor which had a perfect view of his office. I asked him if he knew that Susie (a nice lady we worked with who kind mothered us) brought in cupcakes and told him he'd better hurry up if he wanted one. Really she didn't, but I told him that just so I could see him run out of his office, down the stairs, and into her office only to be disappointed when there weren't any. It still makes me happy to think about it...... 2.) I like making up songs about my cats and my dad's dog and sing to them. My one cat absolutely LOVES it....the other cat and dog don't really care for it. 3.) I feel very burdened by the suffering in this world whether it be people suffering or animals. 4.) I absolutely hate reading directions. I will put things together incorrectly 10 times before I read them. 5.) I would love to live in a tree house or small house out in the woods. 6.) I like peanut butter and pickle sandwiches...but it has to be on toast! If it's on regular bread....that's just gross! lol. 7.) I am ridiculous when it comes to getting letters and packages to the post office. I can have something ready to be mailed and it will sit on the table for 2 weeks before I get it to the PO.......even when I lived right next door to the PO! On that same note....I can not send a plain envelope. It has to have some kind of sticker or other decoration....even when I send a bill. |

ok, here we go. (let's see what pops in this head of mine) 1. I'm a mom of two beautiful people. 2. My son just turned 20 and I don't really thing I'm old enough for that to happen! 3. My daughter is adopted but i know with every fiber of my being she is meant to be my girl. 4. I love yarn, shopping for it, spinning it, crochet, knitting, or just holding it makes me so happy. 5. I have fibromyalsia. I fight it everyday...sometimes I win, sometimes it does. But still, one foot in front of the other....my mantra. 6. My dad died the night I moved out of my (now ex-)husbands home. I got the call as I was loading the last of my stuff. It's been 16 yrs and I've still not gotten over this. 7. I am blessed beyond measure. I love my God and I really do think He loves me too!

7 things about myself:
1) Since 4 months I am living in Thailand and am loving it, the best decision I made EVER!! 2) Never married, no kids unfortunately 3) LOVE to do different crafts, from crochet to painting 4) I love my brother and his partner to death, they are my only close relatives I have on this earth 5) Love to read USA decorating magazines, I had hoped to find more than the lucky one I saw a few weeks ago but it seems that was a one time only :( 6) Also love to read books, and am slowly getting my collection started again 7) When I moved here I had to leave ALL my crafting stuff, all my books and many (well ALL) of my belongings behind, I arrived with one suitcase. But despite of the inconvenience it is oke...I am turning over a new leaf in my book :)

Oh goodness...
1) Oldest of 6 children - actually 7 counting my stepsister 2) Spent 9 years in the Army as a diesel mechanic - 5 ton and under. Didn't join until I was 32 and had all my kids. Loved almost every minute of it. 3) Mom to 3 kids and 2 great stepsons - lost my own son back in May so am really holding onto these 2.ld 4) Granny to a total of 9 - none in Oklahoma - 4 in Mena, AR; 3 at Fort Benning, GA (movingto Fort Hood, TX soon); and 2 in Heidelberg, Germany - adore all of them 5) Met my hubby 31 years ago - broke up for 15 years - we have been married for 15 years. 6) Used to speak fluent Spanish - haven't used it in so long that my conversations are very short and very bad 7) Just started really crafting, cooking, and gardening - at the ripe old age of 59! I wonder if I'll ever get good at anything or figure out what I'm doing.

Wow so interesting to see all of the posts. Such life experience in all of them, and some so much heartache....Hugs. Well I guess I will try to do this. 1. I have a weird sense of humor, and am always full of ideas and sometimes talk too much. 2. I'm an Seventh Day Adventist Christian but haven't been to church in a long time cause it's 120 miles away and I get more out of my trail riding anyway. I rarely go anywhere without a horse trailer. 3. I just adore that aggravating man of mine. He spoils me. 4. My 3 daughters and myself are barrel racers and I raise race bred QH for barrel racing and God has given me the most incredible bloodlines. 5. I am an artist but have never had the time to pursue it much with raising and home schooling my 4 children, and taking care of my animals. Most of my creative energy goes into these things. But I do find time to collect rocks. 6. I took care of my parents for a long time before they died. My mother on Nov 8 2006 my dad on Nov 8 2008. But they were not married for 30 years. My mom from lung cancer, I took care of her for 8 weeks, My dad from old age. I took care of him for 15 yrs after he had a stroke, but the last year was 24-7 at home care. My daughter was a CNA and we couldn't have done it otherwise. Still getting over it. 7. Life is short. Too short for silly drama or slow horses...LOL. I actually have a couple of trail horses that aren't very fast...love them too. But I have some very very fast ones and I like to win. Laura

Any of you ladies that like Nancy Drew might also like the Jenny McGrady series. I used to sell Christian books and Jenny McGrady is a series of books I used to sell that are similar to Nancy Drew only with a Christian slant. They are from the mid 1990's. My kids and I loved them. Just thought I'd throw that in in case any of you are looking for more to read. Laura
