I'll have to share that with my hubby, Denise. I have a sister that does the same thing. She says she was supposed to be left handed, but is right handed. I had to think on that one for a while, but it makes sense to me. Marly

I was probably supposed to be left-handed but as a kid if you wrote with your left hand in school they hit my fingers with a ruler or made me sit on my hand so I couldn't use it. Everything anyone else has taught me I do right- handed but what I learned to do by myself I do left-handed. My daughter and grand-daughter are both left-handed. Joey

Makes sense to me, Joey. Boy! do I remember the ruler coming across my hands. Not by teachers, but by my first piano teacher. I asked her three times not to hit me. The fourth time, I grabbed the ruler and gave her a taste of her own medicine. My dad had told me to kindly ask her to stop. She didn't. Marly

Good for you, Marly. I too am left handed but my mom taught me to do everything (iron, sew, sweep, etc.) right handed. The teachers allowed me to be left handed but I had to turn my paper the same way as the right handed kids, so I write kind of upside down. Recently took golf lessons and instructor tried to make me do it right handed. I quit after 2 lessons. Also there were no left handed sissors, remember that? so we had no choice but to be right handed. I am now both, as I see most of us are. Both my children are right handed, but my adopted granddaughter is left handed and I tell her she got that from me!

1. I was near death and got a second chance at life. I don't plan on wasting it. 2. I love to learn. I constantly have a book I'm reading...usually a few. 3. I love Fall & Winter 4. I love the South even though the summers kill me. 5. I smile when it rains because it means I can slow down and snuggle up with books and my children. 6. I love when 5pm rolls around because it means my husband can head on home. He's my best friend. 7. I want a llama more than words can say. I really like the word llama. llllaaaammmmaaa. Seriously. Is their a better word? Ok. Probably so.

Love your post Cassi..tell us your near death experience, either on this thread or the other one started as a result of this one. I wonder how much a llama costs? Why do you want one? What about an ---oh, darn, you know, that other one that is like a llama but different..kind of baby faced? senior moment.......Alpaca!!

Farmgirl friends, I don't want y'all to think I was a mean kid. I was brought up to respect my elders. I still do. However, after the first hit with the ruler, for missing a note on the piano, I mentioned it to my Dad. He called the piano teacher and had a chat with her. About two weeks later, I mentioned that she continued to hit me over the knuckles with the ruler. My Dad said ask her to please stop. I did. She didn't. Long story short, I wasn't the only one she was hitting. The school soon got another piano teacher. She was sent from Heaven. Because of her, I have degrees in music. Marly

I got really sick after having 2 strokes at 18. No one could figure out what was going on. I was put on about 20 different medications and my health still continued to bottom out. They thought it could be lupus because I was throwing very low positive lupus tests. I had a 3rd stroke at 21. They tested me for everything under the sun and put me on a new medication for lupus. That medication caused me to have a severe allergic reaction that landed me in the ICU burn unit with my skin falling off. :( I had juuuuust met my future husband. He started researching (he works in health care) alongside my hematologist and came up with a new diet (whole foods. I lived on junk.) and some herbal supplements. Turns out I have a very minor blood disorder that can be a big deal when you don't take care of yourself. I went on to have 2 babies, thus far, and I have a rather normal life.

1. My first husband and the father of my two boys is a transsexual. ( we are on good terms..for the sake of my boys...they are all grown up now)
2. When I was 17 I was on a radio station in San Jose, CA singing and playing my guitar.
3. I was on an Internet show called www.thequiltshow.com for 3 seasons as " the treasure chest hostess"
4. I was self employed for 12 years with a gift shop and then a quilt/gift shop by Yosemite. I lost it and my log house with the economy downturn.
5. I love coffee but only with a bunch of sweet stuff in it.
6. I am in college at 55 years old to learn a new trade.
7. I want to have and live in a tiny house on wheels so I will never have to worry about being homeless again.
Boy, that was hard I think you come up with more and more things as you go....
Love reading about other people. It is so wonderful to see unusual things about you ladies and how strong you all are.
