                      | I struggled with step 3 so here are some alternate instructions that may help:
Step 3 Next cut pockets. Cut 4 pieces and place 2 pieces of the pocket right sides together and stitch at the top (straight edge) using a 1/2 inch seam. Now refold the pocket with wrong sides together so that the seam is at top edge of the pocket and press. Repeat for the second pocket piece.

Continue on with step 4, step 5 is forming your basic quilt layer so if you are using unquilted fabric and want to do some stitching to hold the layers together you can do it here.

step 6 Place pocket onto end of the long piece (body piece). Baste stitch (or pin) around the curved end to hold in place.

 Continue on with remaining steps.

                      | Deborah (debtea) I emailed you my address, please email me with yours. I am excited about this. This was easy to do, and I have completed it, and ready to go.
Thanks, Beth, for hosting this, it was fun, and a great idea, I am working on my Aunt one, she uses her chair arm as the pincushion. she does a lot of stitching.

Thanks again, Happy sewing to all. Farmgirl #946 Linda

                      | Deborah, I received a beautiful armchair caddy in the mail today. I rode down to the mailbox, and what a surprise. I am so thrilled with it, and you said you could not sew. I love the purple prints, and all the lace, you did an excellent job. Thanks for the pins, and the mints, and the threads. Also girls, she went a step further and made a matching holder for a little sewing kit. What a neat idea!! Deborah, thanks so much, and as I type this I am in my recliner, with the armchair caddy already in place. I do not know how to post pictures, please bear with me, I am going to get my hubby to help me tomorrow, this is to good not to picture. He had a procedure on this shoulder today, and cannot use his arm tonight. I only hope you are as thrilled with yours, as it went out in the mail today. Post office lady said it could be there by Wed or Thrus. Bless ya! Farmgirl #946 Linda |
