I have a batch of homemade soap, "mahogany spice" scent for barter.
What I am looking for are random quilt squares. Left overs from your projects. Rescued from old quilts. Any pattern, any size. Old ones, new ones, any color scheme. Sewn together (preferred) or just the pieces.
If you want something other than soap... I have TONS of crafting supplies, sewing supplies, etc.
Due to allergies, I cannot trade for fabric from a smoking home.
Do what you love, love what you do. |

Angie I have a bunch, not sure how many, blocks of butterflies appliqued on a tone on tone white. The butterflies are various colors of reproduction fabrics. Let me know if you are interested. Kathy |

Angie, I have some to share. I emailed you. I'm curious-what do you plan to do with them?

Loralie- I am planning to make a crazy quilt. I am not a quilter- do not enjoy the tedious, tedious, tedious part of putting all those little puzzle pieces neatly together. AGH!
I had a pile of random "rescued" quilt pieces I've been collecting from yard sales and thrift stores.... put some of them together for an adorable baby quilt. I can sit in front of the tv or in the car and sew the individual pieces onto a piece of fabric and then embroidery on them. So now I want to do a bigger "living room" quilt. Just for fun.

Hi Angie, Do you have any soap left? I could come up with some quilt squares, how many do you want. Your quilt sounds like a really neat idea, I would love to see it when your done with it. Thanks darlene

Thank you all for the barters of quilt squares for soap. The packages all went in the mail today. =) The quilt squares are already starting to go on a quilt!!!
If anyone else wants to barter... I tucked all that soap into boxes already... but I have LOTS of other things to trade for. =)

After the snow starts to come down I will be inside quilting. Run this by me again then. I would really like to swap quilt squares for other goodies.
Don't be sorry that it's over... Be glad that it happened. |

Angie,
I reeived the WONDERFUL soap and OMG all the terrific goodies. I did not expect you to be so generous, it was a delicious surprise.
Do you sell your soaps? I am looking for all natural soaps for Christmas gifts.
Thanks ever so much,
Joan

Actually, I am more into the bartering than selling at this point. The soap IS spendy to make and would end up being almost $5 a bar to sell. Being as I am super-frugal, I just can't bring myself to charge people that much because I wouldn't want to pay that much.
I will be making another batch sometimes in the near future. Maybe we could trade for your Christmas needs. I will post another barter opportunity when I get it done. =)

Well that sure is nice soap Angie. If you change your mind or make some more and want to barter again let me know, I would be happy to barter for it.. It smells really nice that Mahogany spice is woodsy and I love that smell. thanks darlene
