It's me, Kris. I haven't been here in SO long. I miss everyone so much. I thought I better stop in and say hello and catch up here. I hope everyone is doing well and having a great summer so far. It's been really busy here with gardens and farmer's markets and sheep and milking goats. Lots going on. I am taking a little break right now from planting more veggies in the gardens today. Waiting for the sun to go behind some trees before I go back outside. It's hot and humid out there. I'll try not to stay away so long from now on.

Y'all can check out my blog to see what I've been up to lately.

Hi Kris, so nice to see you back. It is super humid over here. And the rain seems like it'll never stop. Of course, I hate to complain because it's keeping the temperature down.
I'll check your blog after I finish here. It's so nice to see your name again. Hugs.

Kristin,I been awhile too. I guess wandering Farm and Cowgirls finally wander home,so to speak! I've been planting Marigolds,my bee balm and orange mint plants. FInally got rid of a huge agave that had a million babies (which was donated to a nursury) Now I can plant my hydrangea and rose bush.

Well, welcome back! Sounds like you've been busy. I helped a lady with some alpacas (she has a traveling petting zoo) but since it's been so hot I haven't been able to help out. I get heat exhaustion too easily. So do llamas from what I've heard. I think it's probably cooler in Georgia than it's been in Illinois. If you have any spare rain please send it my way. I'm glad your farm is doing good.

Thank you all. I really have missed every one here. We did have rain for a few weeks but now we're dry again. It has been over 100 several days in a row. But the humidity is really high. Keeps everything wet. Like grass. Hard to mow. Cindy, I have a few darker sheep that are really having a hard time with the heat. The white ones seem to be able to handle it better and go out in the sun more. Not the 2 black ones. And they have a higher worm problem too.

So good to see everyone too. I hope to stick around now.

Hi Marcy and Dorinda. We just had a rain shower here and now it's really cool. Very nice out. And a double rainbow you can see on my blog. It's been horribly humid here. Like soaked a few minutes after going outside. Hair drenched in dripping sweat. But I hear sweating is good for me.

Thank you both! I was wondering about Alee. I guess you're busy this summer too. It's about to rain again. I just got finished mowing the front and side yard and the sheep and goat yards. The grass is growing so fast even the sheep and goats can't keep up. I have to help them. But we do need it for all those seeds I just planted this week.

Hey Kristin,

Glad to see your happy postings again!! You were greatly missed. So happy to read your post again.
We have been in a drought and we finally got almost 2 inches of rain and lost our power. The wind tore my garden up pretty bad but it was worth it to get the rain. We finally have water in the creeks again. They were dry as a bone. My goats have been on full hay for over a month because my pasture burned up. Even with the rain it was to late for the pasture. I only see sparse clumps growing.

One thing I still am milking my 2 goats twice a day. I do have milk and its been a real blessing. I love the stuff.

Hey Linda. We had a drought here too then rain but I think it was too late for my beans. Now we have rain about every few days and everything is so green. People are cutting hay again! This is the 3rd cutting so far. That's really good news. I hope your pasture grows back. I am milking Abby and Sandy. I have 3 milk share customers now!! And making cheese too.
